Level of Difficulty – Beginner/Intermediate

Yarn – Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable, color Tidal, 100% Acrylic; 270 yards/100 grams total, Medium Weight, Approximately used 50 yards for pair

Hook and Notions – Size Hook: G/6 (4 mm), scissors, blunt needle

Measurement – Laying flat band width 4 inches and Body of Glove width 3 ½ inches, total length 7 inches (band to shell peak)

Gauge – Band 4 hdc and 3 rows = 1 inches

Abbreviations

Ch = chain

Sc = single crochet

Hdc = half double crochet

BLO = back loop only

Trc = treble crochet

Notes

Each Row of Band is worked in the back loop only unless otherwise stated

Chain 2 at beginning of band counts as a hdc unless otherwise stated

Round 3, Chain 4 and trc in same stitch is (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) at beginning of round

Band Instructions

Make 2 Gloves

Chain 10

Row 1: (working in back bump only) hdc in each back bump across. Turn (9 hdc)

Row2: (see pattern notes), Chain 2, hdc in each hdc across. Turn (9 hdc)

Rows 3-23: Repeat Row 2

Matching up both ends, sc ends together. DO NOT FASTEN OFF

Hand Instructions

Round 1: Chain 1,
hdc in the same stitch as join,
hdc in the end of each row around;
join with a slip stitch in the top of the 1st hdc. (24 hdc)

Round 2: Chain 1,
hdc in the same stitch as join,
hdc in each hdc around;
join with a slip stitch in the top of the 1st hdc. (24 hdc)

Round 3: Repeat Round 2

Round 4: Chain 3,
* skip the next 2 hdc,
work 7 trc in the next hdc,
skip the next 2 hdc,
dc in the next hdc, *
repeat form * to * around,
join with a slip stitch in the top of the chain 3. (4 shells, 4 dc)

Round 5: Chain 4,
trc in the same stitch as the join (see pattern notes),
* skip the next 2 trc, dc in the next 3 trc,
skip the next 2 trc,
work (dc, ch 2, dc) in the next single dc, *
repeat from * to * around;
join with a slip stitch in
the 2nd chain of the beginning chain. (4 ch 2 sps, 4 sets of 3 dc)

Round 6: Slip stitch into chain 2 space,
chain 1, work * 7 trc in the chain 2 space,
skip the next dc, dc in the next,
skip the next dc, *
repeat from * to * around,
ending with work 7 trc in the last chain 2 space;
join with a slip stitch in the top of the beginning trc.

Round 7:  Slip stitch into next 2 trc,
chain 3 in same stitch as slip stitch,
work a dc in the next 2 trc,
* skip the next 2 trc,
work (dc, ch 2, dc) in the next single dc,
skip next 2 trc,
dc in the next 3 trc,
skip the next 2 trc, *
repeat from * to * around;
join with a slip stitch in the top of the beginning chain 3.

Round 8: Repeat Round 6

Round 9: Chain 4,
trc in the same stitch as the join (see pattern notes),
* skip the next 2 trc,
dc in the next 3 trc,
skip the next 2 trc,
work (dc, ch 2, dc) in the next single double crochet, *
repeat from * to * around,
chain 3 (for thumb opening),
join with a slip stitch in the 2nd chain of the beginning chain. (4 ch 2 sps, 4 sets of 3 dc, 1 ch 3 sp)

Round 10: Repeat Round 6

Fasten off and weave in ends.
