Alternative Amethyst Square is the alternative square for February for the Square Of The Month KAL 2018! I chose to make this square for those who might not feel like trying out the cable square just yet. If you made the cabled square and still want to make this one that is totally fine. This square can also be used for other projects and will always be available. Enjoy!

Materials – Deborah Norville Everyday/ Bright Violet/ 10 yards (roughly)
Needle and Notions: U.S.8, scissors, and yarn needle,
Measurement – 10 inches long and 10 inches wide
Gauge – 11 rows and 10 stitches= 2 inches
Notes: Ended with a total of 10 sets and 59 rows
Cast on 50,
Row 1: Purl across.
Row 2: Knit across.
Row 3: *Knit 1, purl 4* repeat from * to * across.
Row 4: * Knit 3, purl 2* repeat from * to * across.
Row 5: Repeat row 4.
Row 6: Repeat row 3.
Row 7: Knit across.
Repeat rows 2-7 for the pattern.
Bind off and put aside for later.
